HNK GEOMATICS founder, Denys Hudson, opened his office in Margate in 1966 and named his practice Denys Hudson Land Surveyors.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s brothers, Frank and Peter Naude joined, both of whom later became Partners in the practice, which then became known as Hudson and Naude.

Dave Kirby joined in 1985 and became a Partner 18 months later. The firm's name was changed to Hudson Naude Kirby.

Frank Naude moved to the Surveyor-General's office in 2000 and founder Denys Hudson retired in 2007 followed by Peter Naudes' retirement in 2011.

Dieter Wortmann became the new partner and the company was then renamed to HNK Geomatics.

Ross Douthwaite joined the practice in July 2016 after having run his own business "South Coast Surveys".

Upon Dave's retirement at the end of February 2017, Ross joined Dieter as a Director. Together they enjoy offering excellent service to the South Coast community.
